Hello, Barrel Proof Fam!
March was one for the books.
We kicked things off with Mardi Gras, raised funds for great causes (shoutout to the kids and the pups), honored Women in Whiskey, and went full tilt for St. Paddy’s. Oh — and we threw down in Fernet March Madness.
Fast-forward to April: we won.
Thanks to you, we came out on top in the citywide showdown everyone was talking about. We’re still blown away by the support, so to celebrate, we gave back — donating 20% of sales on April 7 to Nashville Severe Weather, who keep us safe (and sane) during the storms.

🎧 Tuesday, April 15 through mid-May – Soundtrack My Drink Secret Menu Volume 2
Adam from Soundtrack My Drink is at it again——this time we’re teaming up with Martha My Dear and Golden Pony. 6 cocktails. 3 bars. 2 cocktails available at each bar. These cocktails are inspired by Adam’s favorite songs of 2024. Grab your punch card (pictured), and the first 6 people to tag @SoundtrackMyDrink with their completed cards will win $30 gift cards to Barrel Proof, Martha My Dear, or Golden Pony. 🐰 Sunday, April 20 – Easter
We’re hosting a Germantown-wide Easter egg hunt with hidden goodies, discounts, and prizes sprinkled around the neighborhood (and maybe even at other venues).
It’s also 4/20, so we’ll have special Delta THC mocktails on the menu.
🌍 Tuesday, April 22 - Earth Day x Standard Proof Whiskey
Tasha from Standard Proof is teaming up with us to throw a party that’s as flavorful as it is planet-friendly. We’ll have some eco-friendly surprises, raffle giveaways, and more for those who participate in donating gently worn shoes and/or purchasing Standard Proof cocktails.
🎶 Widespread Panic Pre-Party
Friday, April 25th
We’re throwing a blowout bash for the Panic fans in town! Expect LIVE MUSIC, a crawfish boil, buckets of beer, and a special St. George Spirits menu. No tickets necessary. A portion of bar sales will benefit local Nashville mental health and suicide awareness organizations so come hungry and thirsty! It’s gonna be rowdy—don’t say we didn’t warn you.
🐎 Kentucky Derby Day
Saturday, May 3rd
We’re going full Derby mode with Pinhook cocktails, a silly hat contest, and maybe even a hobby horse race. Thinking about dressing up? Do it. Big hats, loud prints, Derby flair—we’re here for all of it. We might even have tabletop horse racing (Monopoly money only, of course).
🌮 Monday, May 5 – Cinco de Mayo
We’re going big with G4 & Palomo cocktails, Muchacho beer specials, and the return of Taqueria de Bentley — back on the grill with his legendary taco pop-up. It’s a Monday, but let’s make it unhinged.
🤠 Thursday, May 9 – Rodeo Party
The rodeo’s coming to town, and we’re getting rowdy. Details are still being wrangled, but we’re aiming for a full-blown Rodeo-themed night with Pendleton Whiskey. Saddle up.

We’re rolling into March with a full heart after an incredible month of events, and we can’t wait to share what’s coming next.

🎭 Mardi Gras Magic at Barrel Proof
In case you missed it, we hosted our first-ever Mardi Gras popup, and WOW! Y’all showed up and showed out! The energy was electric as we transformed the bar into a Bourbon Street-worthy celebration. We had a glitter artist adding sparkle to faces, festive Mardi Gras cocktails, and exclusive "krewe" throws straight from New Orleans parades. We’re already scheming and planning for an even bigger celebration next year!

🐶 Puppies & Cocktails – Wags & Walks Adoption Event
On March 9th, we had the absolute best time partnering with Wags and Walks and George Dickel for an adorable puppy adoption event! With special George Dickel cocktails, giveaways, and plenty of puppy smooches, this was one for the books. We loved seeing some of four-legged friends find their forever homes!
🥃 Celebrating Women in Whiskey
For International Women’s Day, we teamed up with Bourbon Women for a special Happy Hour on March 7th. Bourbon Women is an organization dedicated to bourbon education and appreciation for women, and with their official event at Nelson's Greenbriar on March 8th, we welcomed attendees who wanted to kick off the weekend with three exclusive cocktails at Barrel Proof. Cheers to strong women and strong drinks!
🍀 St. Patrick’s Day + Bushmills VR Experience
It’s St. Patrick’s Day, and we’re ready to party! Our neighbors at Von Elrod’s are hosting their annual Von Patrick’s Day celebration on March 17th, and we’re joining in on the fun. We’ve got something special inside Barrel Proof – Bushmills will be giving out free swag and offering a virtual reality tasting experience with a VR headset. Come by and keep the St. Paddy's party going with us!
🌮 Secret Bodega Returns!
You asked, and we delivered! Secret Bodega is back for another Monday Night Industry Night Takeover! Details are still in the works, but expect their legendary queso birria and G4/paloma mezcal drinks to take over our kitchen for one night only. Stay tuned for the official date!
🏀 March Madness x Fernet x Nashville Bars Bracket!
It’s game time. We’re bringing the excitement of March Madness to Barrel Proof (vs. other bars) with a bracket tournament—Fernet style! We’re on a mission to claim the title of BEST BAR TO DRINK FERNET, and we need your votes!

🍹 Sipping for a Cause – Rally Foundation Charity Event
We were honored to support the Rally Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to childhood cancer research. We created a specialty cocktail just for the occasion and donated 100% of the proceeds to the cause. On top of that, a professional photographer joined us, offering donation-based headshots, giving guests a chance to get a fresh new look while contributing to an incredible mission. A huge thank you to everyone who came out, supported, and made a difference!
